A sip or two of the Lagavulin should take care of the pain. Ah, so very, very nice...

I went for the last of my Bowmore 18yr last night. Delicious, though not up to the Lagavulin IMHO.

I was thoroughly surprised at how good these vegetarian tamales were. For 3 dozen tamales, you'll need 4-5 Poblano chilles, roasted, peeled and diced, a large onion sautéed to just beginning to show some colour, a cup of corn kernels, and a cup or so of Feta cheese crumbled and mixed in. And, of course, the masa. Made with butter or Crisco since these are vegetarian, though honestly, we still use lard for the masa. Since, for us, the point is not vegetarian or not, but flavour!

Hardly a step down. Talisker is one of my favourites.

I admire the leghths you will go to to ensure your guests are well catered for.

Coffee in my cup, and a Welsh Rarebit breakfast browning in the oven.

I've just finished a delightful Chinese Vegetable soup with Tofu and Oyster Sauce, and I'm stuffed to the gills! (But only consumed about 250 calories.) Now drinking an after-dinner cup of Keemun tea while my wife does the dishes! I cooked... she washes. She cooks...I wash. Then we'll settle in with a movie and a bit of popcorn for the evening. Merry Christmas to you all!
