Bin allerdings der Meinung, dass der SPIEGEL das nicht richtig darstellt: sie schreiben :
"Die öffentliche Empörung war erheblich, am Wochenende lenkte Amazon ein: E-Books werden wohl teurer." - Von einer Empörung gegenüber Amazon weiß ich nichts, hab eher
von Empörung gegenüber Macmillan gehört. Man darf jedenfalls gespannt sein, wie die
Entwicklung weiter vorangeht.

Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nocht nicht , was ich davon halten soll. Klar, Macmillan macht scheinbar die eBooks teuer - aber sie haben eigentlich angekündigt ein typisches Preisgefälle einzuführen: Preise zwischen USD 5.99 und 14.99 und die Preise sinken im Lauf der Zeit vom oberen zum unteren Rand der Skala. Sprich, neue (erhoffte) Bestseller erstmal für USD 12.99 - 14.99 und dann im Lauf der Zeit oder für irgendwelche Aktionszeiträume den Preis absenken. Ich habe eigentlich kein Problem 8-10€ für ein brandneues eBook zu bezahlen, wenn ich die nicht ganz neuen eBooks auch weitaus günstiger bekommen kann. Hört sich eigentlich jetzt nicht sooo übel sondern mehr nach einem Preismix an wie er auch in anderen Branchen üblich ist.

Sobald das neue Preismodell eingeführt ist, lässt sich ja gut beobachten, wie viele Titel tatsächlich für 9.99 oder 5.99 angeboten werden. Spätestens dann muss MacMillan Farbe bekennen, und dann können die Leser auch mit ihrem Kaufverhalten abstimmen.
