Abélard, one of the most talented medieval scholars in Paris, falls in love with Héloise. She refuses to marry him, saying that cradles and books don’t mix. Then she gets pregnant and they marry secretly.
Her uncle exacts a terrible revenge when he thinks that Héloise has been deserted. After this, Abelard’s life will never be the same again…
