Filter question
I am getting inconsistent results using some of the filters. I tried to find how many of my books were epub instead of lrf so I used "not format:lrf". This showed me only 7 books that were in epub format. Using my file manager/search, I know that I have 63 books that are in the database and only in epub format. Is my filter string correct?

Are those books showing as only having epub in calibre? I'm wondering if you have them in lrf, converted and deleted the lrf file outside of calibre. If that's the case go to Preferences, Advanced, and click Check database integrity to have it know about those changes. If that is what happened only delete from within calibre. Use the metadata editor to delete a format.

That fixed it. Thank you. Yes, I had deleted some outside of Calibre. I know better now.
