650 vs 950

Hello, I have seen so many good comments about prs650 but very few comments about prs950. Is that true that prs650 is even better than 950? Are they basically the same thing except for the different screen size? Thank you.

Same thing except 950 is bigger and has wifi (and 3G I think). Both are really hard to find now.

It has both 3G and wifi, though the 3G only works with the Sony Store. The browser is wifi-only.

I've never used a 650, but I do love my 950.

I picked up a 950 for $225 a few days before Sony released the news about the T-1. I am glad I did. I thoroughly enjoy the longer screen. It does have 3G and Wifi so I can purchase from the Sony store, download a book from Google books or check my email. Also with PRS+ I can now download a book from my calibre library using calibre's built in web server.

Minus the longer screen and wireless the 950 and the 650 are essentially the same.

Unless you really NEED the longer screen, I would wait and get the new T1. Same size as the 650, but with wireless, and cheaper. They are supposed to ship soon, maybe even today!

Does this mean that with the T1 I would be able to download my Calibre library to the device using the built in web server of Calibre?

I don't see why not, but this is a one book at a time function.
