I'm a bit surprised by this. Usually a company doesn't come to an agreement with someone who is suing them unless the lawsuit gets settled out of court.

I thought they were suing Barnes and Nobel? Unless Borders is suing Spring - you never can tell nowadays
I thing Borders almost had to do this to keep up B&N. Overall is probably a good thing and will increase competition.
