Happened to think of this just now. The setup (for those unfortunate enough to have never seen NewsRadio): Businessman writes book. Book does poorly in the US. Book translated to Japanese, sold in Japan. Book popular in Japan. Japanese translation translated back to English, published in US. (This was aired during the Japanese bubble economy, when paying attention to Japanese business practices was a Big Thing in the US.)
One of the greatest TV clips ever.

We were posting and discussing Star Trek related clips in another thread, and I remembered the old Tomorrow with Tom Snyder show where Mr. Snyder interviewed members of the original cast. In this clip, the original show had been off the air for about eight years, and the movie had not yet been filmed, but plans were being made. This is the 3rd part of that show as it has been edited for YouTube, and the WTF moment occurs at the 4:49 mark when DeForest Kelley, in discussing what the film should be about, says "I think it needs a story line something on the order of ..."
Let's just say it's a good thing that Tom Snyder came on so late at night, or the late, great DeForest Kelley might have been crucified for that remark!
