Your rare geekgirl here. Among computers, comics and other things, I've always loved books and reading, but I didn't discover ebooks until last year. After reading on Kindle, I decided that was too much for anyone to pay for a book, so I got a palm and the rush is totally awesome! I also intend to save up for a Sony Pocket Reader tho. I'll have both, cos I see there are formats that Sony just won't comply with. I found this site while perusing Wikipedia. I'm also a writer, so I hope just being here will stimulate my imagination! Feels like it.

I have read on my Palm for the last 5-6 years... Only a couple of weeks ago, did I get a dedicated reader - Hanvon N516...
My Palm is really quick, back lit (suiting nightshifts - being dark), pageturns are instant.. I love it...

Hi idraw22 and welcome to MobileRead. I used to read on an iPaq but once I got my hands on an eInk device, there was no going back. Much better battery life and you don't have that light shining directly in your eyes.
