Would love an IGNORE THREAD option.

From time to time there crops up a thread that is just so beyond the pale (to me obviously not those who keep the droning on and on and on and on...) that just seeing it on top of the list is annoying. Sure would love to have a list of "Ignored Threads" similar to Ignored Users...

I find options to ignore individual users far too passive-aggressive for my tastes.

I very vigorously, and actively ignore certain users!

That is one of the reasons I thought of the ability to exclude threads I just am tired of seeing. Perhaps another co-option should be the complete move all "commentary" about ebooks and words for this and words for that or whatever, out of the NEWS section and into it's own forum. So end up with NEWS Forum and a Commentary section since some of these commentary threads are getting pretty over the top and downright contentious as well as the same topics over and over and over again...

I have changed my position. I now would LOVE an "ignore thread" option.

Furthermore, I believe the act of bumping your own thread by continually responding to it yourself should be known as "blooming" the thread.

No reason, I just think it rolls easily off the tongue.

News & Commentary should be dealt with. I thought originally it was news and commetary on that news. But it seems to be a general mess these days.
