Hi chalicedhearts and welcome to MobileRead. I lived in Stuttgart back in the 60's long before eBook readers and long before they covered the road up Dagrerloch Hill.

Hi Chaliced. I wonder if the military has any kind of deal that would mean you're not forced to pay the various Kindle loadings. As far as I can see, if your device is registered in the US, you'd have to pay a couple of bucks extra for downloading when you're on a foreign posting. If you register the machine outside the US, titles cost an extra two dollars each. But Kindle ain't the only game in town. Good to have your company. Neil (whose memories of Stuttgart include great countryside, grand folks, brilliant beer and darned fine white wines).

Visit www.bewrite.net for new fiction (£1, $2.00, E1.50 per download). Ebooks (about 120 titles) in PDF only until a range of new formats are made available in 2010. Then, I'm afraid, BB store's cover price will be more realistically set. Nearly 100 BB titles are also now available in ALL formats at smashwords.com ($9.00 a pop) and elsewhere.
