Can somebody tell me what’s wrong with this picture?

I went hunting in the Amazon today and found this:

The Audacity to Win: The Inside Story and Lessons of Barack Obama's Historic Victory by David Plouffe .

Hardcover Price: $15.09 <http://www.amazon.com/Audacity-Win-L.../dp/0670021334>

So I decided to check out the Kindle edition:

Kindle Price: $15.37 <http://www.amazon.com/The-Audacity-t...=AG56TWVU5XWC2>

Why does the Kindle edition cost 28¢ more than the Hardcover? Does it cost that much more for the warehouse space to house ebooks? Or are they trying to compete with Barnes and Noble ebook prices?

Gosh this makes me upset.

If you noticed the list price for the books are the same. Why publishers insist on charging the same price for ebooks and paper books really bothersome to me.

If it's a new release, the Kindle price will drop in a week to 10 days (sometimes less). This happens a lot.

Email Obama. Someone as well wired and concerned about culture and education as he is should appreciate the stupidity of e-read pricing and see how the current craziness is setting up roadblocks to advance Neil

I guess Amazon's cashing in on the impatience factor, Daffy. N

Now if Amazon only supported ePub, you could get the book you want for $9.99 now in ePub.

Shortcovers often have very good price, very nice shop.
On average the Amazon store have better price than any other ebook store, but I don't think it can't compete with all the others store put together, as now all majors bookstore are either offering Epub or switching to it soon.
