Hab Kindle für iPhone und für PC und bin Vollamerikaner. Die Buchauswahl ist schon klasse und sogar das Whispersync klappt zwischen Linux und iPod. Ich glaub, ich werd mal beim Weihnachtsman anklopfen, wegen Kindle. Allerdings müsste ich mir das dann in die States liefern lassen wegen US-Konto (ah, Sorgen über Sorgen)

Bei mir nich. Aber ich lauf auch unter Linux (hab keine Win Partition derzeit), daher kann es für Win anders sein! Aber mal 'ne andere Frage: Wenn ich die Books von "My Kindle Content" mit MBP zum Kindle rüber kopier, kann ich dann da weiterlesen, wo ich am PC aufgehört hab?

Du musst nur einen US-Account in i-tunes erstellen. Aber das geht nur, wenn Du kein Zahlungsmittel angibst, also nur für die kostenlosen Apps!
