Inkmesh Updates: Google Previews, Public Domain Filter & more

Hey everyone,

We've been working on a few enhancements at Inkmesh, and just finished pushing them live (if you're wondering, Inkmesh is a new ebook search engine). Here are a few new things we think you will find useful:

1. Google Previews - if a book has a Google Preview (either partial or full) available on books.google.com, we display a link to the Google Books preview page where you can look and search inside the book. Here's an example: http://inkmesh.com/ebooks/lost-symbol-dan-brown-ebook/

2. Public Domain filter - there is now a way to exclude public domain books from search results. Just use the search filter 'Exclude Public Domain' in the left navbar. Here's an example: http://inkmesh.com/search/?qs=pride&pd=no . This feature will become more useful when we add more exploration options beyond subjects.

3. We have changed the way we rank ebooks for subject browsing. With this change, we hope to bring more interesting books closer to the top so you don't have to browse as much to find a new book you might like. You can try the new ranking scheme on a subject search here (Science Fiction is by far the most popular subject on Inkmesh): http://inkmesh.com/search/?qs=subjec...e%20Fiction%22

4. The price comparison section on individual book pages has been simplified to remove redundant information, make page loads faster and reduce vertical scrolling. Format icons are still on the TODO list!

So, that's that. We will continue to add more sites and features; we know a lot of you are using Inkmesh very regularly to find ebooks you like, and we are working hard to make your experience at Inkmesh more enjoyable every day.

thank you!
