505 and manga

Hey to those who use 505 to read manga, how do you put your books into your reader, and what source do you get the manga from?
After searching around, I used manga2ebook to make PDFs from all the JPGs with the default setting: resize images to 760 height, and PDF size 570 x 760, but the text was very difficult to read. I know there's another program to fix the readability of the result PDF (but it was removed from MR), would that program improve the text a lot?
Another thing is the book I used to test (Touch) was downloaded from onemanga, and the image size doesn't really match the reader's screen size (they are 720x1100) so how should I fix this, or are there other websites that have ereader friendly manga?

Tor released a free graphic novel with their "Watch the Skies" promotion and I wasn't really a big fan of using the ePub feature for extreme graphics. The processor didn't really want to cooperate very well, and I didn't like the 50+ mb file

But, I'm sure that link will provide you a wealth of information and more enjoyment from your Sony!

*.Manga files are just arcvhives of images, if you renamed the files to *.CBR you'd be able to view these files with a CBR viewer.

With that in mind, take a look at ComicLRF I use this command line utility and its great, it resizes the images to fit the 505 automatically so you dont need to monkey around with the images externally.

Also the LRF files parse really well on the 505, and you wont get crazy amounts of loading between page flips.

If you need any further help with this let me know, I have a memory card with 30 volumes of Berserk on it, 6 volumes of The Walking Dead and about 21 Volumes of Blade of the Immortal. They all clock in at about 30MB.

Be careful with the way you transfer these files to your reader, if you get that far let us know and I'll give you the pro's and con's of a couple of methods.

I also simply use comic2lrf (part of calibre) and the result is usually satisfying. The only thing to make sure is that the source manga is clean and has medium to large font size.

And I get my manga from .. many sources *ahem*
