Just ordered a Kindle and have been trying to learn more to be sure of my choice. I have been reading on a Palm Tungsten E, but like the idea of downloading books and periodicals directly to the Kindle. I checked this website also about a reading light. Thanks for the help!

I started with Palm pda's (several versions, as each got old or died). I switched very happily to a Kindle!! No, the Kindle won't perform the PDA functions, but I really love it as a reading device.

Living by myself, I've never cared about a light for it -- I just leave the bedroom light on until I'm done reading. But I love having zillions of books at my fingertips to choose from, when I finish one and look for the next to be read. ahhhhH!
