6.17 installer not executable??
I went to download the installer Caliber-0.6.17 and it is only a small download in *.msi format which is not executable as the previous Calibre installers have been.

If this is a correct format, please give detailed instructions how it should handled in Windows XP and Vista.

Also, right above the download statement/button is a statement to uninstall Calibre if my current version is older than 6.17??? Typo???

msi is the standard microsoft installer format. Just double click it and it will launch. If not you will need to install microsoft installer.

Yes, you need to uninstall calibre versions older than 0.6.17
