This is not news. All these manuals are on the PRS-600 itself, and presumably the same is true with the PRS-300. They're in a ZIP file on the "installer" partition.

So? I don't think it hurts when you can download a manual in your respective language before you purchase the device.

I agree with you that it's good to be able to download manuals in advance of purchase. I probably misread your post, but I interpreted it as you saying that the existance of a German manual was "new information" when in fact, as I said, these same manuals are on the actual machine.
