Thumbs up Polymer Vision back from the grave, bought by Wistron

According to this Dutch (English Google translation) article Polymer Vision renewed the contracts with about 80% of its employees last week, and is being sold to an Asian company.

It also says Polymer Vision will now focus on ebook readers instead of cellphones.

Update: Polymer Vision was bought by Taiwanese OEM manufacturer Wistron.

Woohoo!

To be honest I was hoping that they would ditch the cell phone aspect anyways. Chances are Verizon would have never carried it.

My favorite optimist Zelda asks "i wonder what they will be bringing us next ? and when ?"

My least favorite Donn (again) asks "when will they bring us anything, ever?"

Tune into your favorite channel.

just cool if they really are back and can deliver a reading device in the same size and all but no cell phone. The cell phone was the reason I would never consider buying a Readius. Make it a 5"-8" display it gives everyone a run for their money.

BTW, their design makes even a 10" or larger reader much more portable...hmmmmm?

Their flexible screen is promising but the Readius was a bad shot.

I've had the thing in my hands over a year ago but its QVGA (320x200) resolution display made it just good enough to browse the address book. This way, the eink display didn't add any value at all.
