I'm looking for a Red Sony prs-505 in US or Uk but can't seem to find one online

The 505 is discontinued. Try ebay. Some distributors may still have them at clearance prices. You might want to try a google search.

John Lewis still have them, they are also pretty good at replacing them if needed.
