Wink Sony's New eBook on August
finally seems sony's going to announce its latest ebook reader this month with some new features, probably it will come with 505 superb screen quality but this time larger and wifi is added. also no touch-screen , more onboard memory. it's called direct competitor of Kindle Dx!

Slashgear cites MobileRead (a message from June 11th) and CNET (which cites MobileRead) as the sources of this news item, so there is nothing new here, sadly.

Thanks for the link, Porkupan, now this looks very interesting.

PRS300 seems to be a 5'' device, while the PRS600 would be a 6'' one with touch screen.
Both documents show version 1.0 produced 2009.07, which means they have been released (the docs) this month.

PRS600 doc mentions Memory Stick, there is no mention of any card on PRS300.

I do think that, if these are for real, that these two will both be introduced on the European market in August. It's too coincidental that the announcement of Sony and Bol.com (the biggest online bookstore of the Netherlands) will also be at the end of August.


Oh, and I think there'll be a black, white and red coloured device..
