No reader yet, but saving up so planning on getting one next year. Probably a PRS-505 unless something of similar quality but money cheaper comes out.
I'm a surveyor, so I get to walk around in the woods. Without having to deal with people face to face. I love that!
I like scifi/fantasy and manga, with a good liberal dash of classics to keep me grounded :-)

Welcome! a 505 is a wonderful choice. I hope you're able to get it soon (some days I think I'd really like your job!)

Whichever reader you get you'll find lots of classics available to download on Mobile Read (for free!). I've got a 505 and I've downloaded lots of classics I probably wouldn't have got round to reading otherwise.
Good luck with the saving

Welcome to MobileRead, Ravensknight!
A Sony reader is a good choice. I have the 700 and love it. There are a lot of people here on the forum who like Sci Fi, so you should fit right in.
My two older children (22 and 21) have been reading manga for years.

Hello Ravensknight, and to Mobileread.
Yes a Sony 505 would be a good choice, but I'm biased. I have one myself and love it.
