Talking Hello Everyone!

I'm happy to be here. I just bought a Sony PRS - 505. I thought I would like it, but found out how much I really love having a E-Reader. I bought the Sony instead of the Kindle because I can download books from my public library. This is so cool!

Hello Psercki -- welcome to MobileRead. Like you, I find it so much fun to read with my electronic reader. I own both a Kindle and a Sony reader.

Since I live in a very rural community with a limited budget for civic functions, my library doesn't offer electronic books. The librarian wants to add them, but she'd need a grant to cover the cost -- or it would significantly cut into her budget for new releases. (The library already rents the majority of its new releases instead of purchasing them.)

What books have you been reading on your Sony? Is there any particular genre that appeals to you?

welcome to the board! I love my 505, and I just now downloaded a few library books as well. I love that feature- the ease of reading library books on my sony and charging it up as I download. works for me!

Be sure to check out the 500/505 board as well!

Welcome psercki. Be sure to check out the free offerings at Sony's website also.

I wish my library carried more ebooks. I live in San Diego which is a relatively large city but the library offerings are slim here.

Enjoy the reader and enjoy the forums here.
