Christian and Philosophy books on Kindle?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew the amount of Christian and Philosophy books available on Kindle. I do not just mean from the amazon store. I have browsed that and they seem to have a pretty good selection.

But does anyone know of any other online stores (or publishers) that sell Christian / Philosophy e-books?

Thanks for any help,

Nathan

That you could put on the Kindle? I'm not aware of any sources that'd have something more or even different from the Amazon store.

Not ebooks, but easily made so - religion-online.org has a number of great texts.

As for philosophy the usual sources apply... Feedbooks, here, etc.

You may wish to take a look at the "Complete Works of Plato" that I've uploaded here to MR.

HarryT and Patricia have uploaded what would be tons of pbooks on philosophy and religion to MR. Click "ebooks" in the blue bar up top.

Patricia is our "philosophy guru" - she's posted dozens of philosophy books. I've just done Plato.

She's also done an excellent job with William James' Varieties of Religious Experience

I would also check out Project Gutenberg. You'll have to know what you're looking for, but you'll find works by Aquinas, Dante, Calvin, Milton, Descartes, Spinoza...

That's where I got most of mine from, there's no point paying for most of the texts, they are available for free there. Some conversion might be required depending upon the site you get them from.

Look at http://www.ccel.org It is the Christian Classics Ethereal library. If you are looking for older philosphy and Christian Classics it is a great resource. It also run by Harry Plantinga (a computer science professor) that is the son of Alvin Plantinga, who is a fairly well known modern Christian philosopher. There are a couple of his book on there as well.

I didn't realize they were related.. wow.

Plantiga makes me go cross-eyed... once people start getting into possible worlds, etc they just lose me entirely. But he's an impressive philosopher.

And there are a lot of books at the Internet Sacred Texts Archive: both Christian, and from a lot of other traditions:
