It's based on LCD's, similar to PixelQi, but different technology (Electrowetting).

It sounds promising. More reflective than eInk, fast enough for video and can be made in LCD fabs. I wonder if we'll actually ever see a reader using those type of displays?

I don't know if this company will make it, but its REAL nice to see alot of comapanies trying to make us better screens for our readers. E-ink hasn't changed all that much since the first device it was in.

Well i hope they make it we need all the competition we can get to reduce prices and improve quality. E-ink has been the same for a couple of years now with no news of a better screen coming from them anytime soon. I suppose a big company might want to buy someone like Liquavista to give them self's a unique selling point if they could design and manufacture there own screens.
