Firmware Update Any problems with skipping an update?

2.0.3 doesn't seem to do much so I'd rather not uninstall my hack to update.

Will I have any future problems with updates if I skip this one?

No, you won't have any future problems if you skip it. But other than the time it took to do three updates (uninstall screensaver, install 2.0.3, reinstall screensaver) it wasn't a hassle for me.

You never know.. maybe Amazon will block you if you are not up-to-date at some point. We just don't know.

With the hack(s) in place, what will happen when Amazon tried to update the K2 via Whispernet?

The update will fail, that's all. You have to reboot it, reconnect via USB, delete the update, put in the screensaver hack uninstall, reboot again, etc.

Not likely. Remember, there are people outside of the Whispernet area. Amazon has no idea if those people are applying the updates or not (or if they even know about them). So I doubt that not applying an update will cause them to block someone.
