iLiad Undocumented Reflash Functionality (restore registry)

The iLiad has the ability to restore the registry from a CF card.

If you plan on working with the registry of your iLiad, and don't want to loose
any of the existing settings you can do the following:

1. Install dropbear on your iLiad.
2. Copy the /mnt/settings/registry folder off of your iLiad (use winscp or scp)
3. On your CF Card make a x:\images\registry\ folder.
4. Copy the contents from your registry backup into that folder.
5. Enter "settings" (without quotes) into x:\config.txt

To restore, use the normal restore procedure.

This is probably not useful for the average user, but if you're a developer testing changes to the registry, it could come in handy.

That's really cool. I have been bothered with having to re-edit registry everytime after reflash.

1 Where can I find dropbear?

2 Copy /mnt/settings/registry to \images\registry?

3. Add the word "settings" after "format"? (I have this word in \config.txt.)

Oh. Perhaps I cannot do this procedure, because now I cannot install anything from thirdy parts in my iLiad.
