2008 World Fact Book v0.7.6 7 June 2009

This is latest release of my version of the World Fact Book.

The first file has the flag section but not the country section. It also leaves a lot to be desired in the formatting department.

The second file is version 0.6. It is considerably prettier than before. I'm leaving it up in case the later versions don't work for you.

The last file is version 0.7.6. This is the one that will work as a dictionary.

minor update

I discovered that the editors of the Fact Book neglected to include a certain country in the source material. I have repaired the omission.

another minor update

I added an index to each of the major sections that needed it. I also reformatted a couple sections.

I am knowledgable about said country. Although not well recognized historically, it's citizens have had a major impact on world events over the last 150 years. They had a major impact on the American Civil War, provided a major recruiting ground for the Spanish-American war, provided many key figures of World War II, contained a key component for the Cold War, and has provided many artists and musicians over the last 100 years plus. It provided some of the most key resources used to support the allies in World War II.

It has been snubbed as a part of American policy for many decades.

I'm still debating which one I want to go with.

As it is, it's still pretty useful.
It looks pretty good on jetBook screen, especially flags. See attached picture below

The new version of the ebook is up. It's pretty (and it has the flag entry for the missing contry).

There is a pull down menu in the introduction. It now works.

Are you talking about Cuba? Why be so "coy" about it?

We're not talking about Cuba. It's already in the WFeB.

Then what country are you talking about? Why talk in riddles rather than just make a factual statement?

Because it's a joke. I'm adding a fictional country to the WFB as my own little easter egg. Ralph knows about it becuase he agreed to write the country listing.

So which files do I need to download to get just the CIA World Factbook?

I'm assuming that it is just -- World Fact eBook0.7.3.prc -- and that this file contains everything but the flags. Is that correct?

If I want the flags I also need to download -- CIA World Factbook - flags.prc -- and this file only contains flags. Is that correct?

The file -- CIA World Factbook.prc -- is an older version that I probably don't need to download. Is that correct?

My apologies for being dense and needing clarification.

P.S. I think Harry's in a bad mood.
