Question Converted Book crashes PRS500

Hi-
I've got a book with lots of screenshots. I converted it to a single page HTML with AmberCHM. The ZIP imported in Calibre is 24MB. The LRF is 26.4MB.

When I open it on my Sony, it spins for a while then eventually restarts the device.

Any ideas what's going on? Is it possible to rasterize each page to ease the layout task and somehow get by this crash?

Transfer it to the reader with Sony software if it's an option.
