The Friends of the Friends (1896) Originally published in 1896 as ‘The Way It Came’. This text is the New York Edition, 1896. A ghost story. Or is it? We might have a deluded narrator, instead. This dilemma also appears in the later tale, ‘The Turn of the Screw.’ This work is in the Canadian public domain OR the copyright holder has given specific permission for distribution.
