There is danger everywhere (9/11, Virginia Tech...). There are also great people everywhere.

Eh, it's not that so much as it is the fact that they appear to be singling out British and American "tourists" for elimination.

I mean, thank you very much, but I think it's quite enough that no matter where you go, you are almost guaranteed to end up with a terminal case of the trots (that's just a fact of life), but now, people want to murder you simply because you are a British or American tourist??? Not there to do anything but look around, spend some money, see the sights ... and for this you get killed???

I think on the whole, I can get killed just as easily here in the States and NOT have intestinal cramps at the same time.

So .... I'm stayin' home. Someone wants to kill me, they can do it for some other reason and right here in the damn front room.

So there.

Daffy, no worries. I understand your thought. Levity is never inappropriate. Sometimes it is the only reaction possible.

And sometimes it does not do what it was intended to do.

I have been there. Believe me.

Take care, my friend.

Nasty things can happen to you even if you stay at home. You've told us before, IIRC, that you have personal experience of that yourself.

I hope ashkulz is ok, he's based in Bombay IIRC. Fortunately, none of my family was affected. As for RickyMaveety, a whole bunch of Bombay taxi drivers will be heart broken
