HAND AND RING (1883) A fairly wealthy widow is murdered in a small American town. Her dying words are “Hand! Ring!” Might this be a clue? There are too many suspects; then too many confessions; plus a pair of star-crossed lovers. This was made from scans at The Internet Archive, and needed a lot of corrections.
