The problem with the arrival of the Sony in Quebec has to do with copyright laws here. Once those are settled we will see it.

Can I ask you to expand on this?
What does quebec have in terms of copyright law that would prevent a reader from going on sale ?

French Canadian documents are under provincial control, not federal. That adds further considerations for Sony to deal with. Is a population of 7 million worth litigation? I believe so. Does Sony?
We'll see.

Publishers may have sold the USA rights to the US Sony Store. Canadian (and UK) rights may well need to be separately negotiated.

Canadian rights (in English) have been settled with Sony, that is why it is available in the rest of the country but not in Québec.

Do you know if PRS-505 leather covers (such as this one) fit the PRS-700 ? Thanks

I have the cover with the pockets and storage for the PRS-505. I took it off and put it on my PRS-700 and it fits, however the slanted right side of the 700 sticks out about 1/8 an inch. I put the covers on top of each other and the PRS 700 is a bit bigger. You could use the other but the slanted edge of the PRS700 will stick out a bit on the right side of the reader.

Thanks for that answer, Cyndall -- I'd been wondering exactly how much variance there was between the two cases, and you covered it well and concisely.
