Jones, Raymond F.: The Memory of Mars (Illus). v1, 27 Aug 2008
Raymond F. Jones was a popular SF writer of the '40s and '50's (and also later). He has an easy-going style and wrote entertaining stories. One of his novels, "This Island Earth," was adapted into a film by Universal Studios. I hope you enjoy it. Don File located off-site. To report a copyright violation you can contact us here.

“How to Write the First 3 Paragraphs of YOUR Indie Novel” - by Max Waxwelp 1) Always write 3 sentences of exposition; 2) now create some dialogue, preferably no more than 2 sentences; and 3) make certain the dialogue is either inane or humorous. Example: “Bob, I did not know you wore yellow suspenders,” Sally remarked. “Gee, Sally, those are not suspenders. I am wearing yellow underwear today,” Bob revealed. The dialogue above will help produce at least 100 more pages of dialogue. |

Hahahahahaha, you got the allusion to J.R. "Bob" Dobbs!
Perhaps there's a little bit of "Bob" in all of us. ________ Thanks for the kind words on the short story. Don

I have a picture of Bob at my cube at work.
He reminds me, and all Slack-filled young men and women of Yeti descent, that it is our hour of slack. Yours in Bob, Donn |
