I put all of my computer stuff on my external hard drive this weekend. Now I need to bring it to the bank and put it in the safety deposit box.

In the interim between these posts, my wife and I, working as a well-coordinated team, managed to hang a clear vinyl drape in the hallway, forming a 'mud-room' of sorts to block the cold air from coming into the house (or the hot air from leaving, depending upon your glass half filled or glass half empty view point. {deliberately ignoring the engineers here who think the glass was not properly designed} ) AND... lining the inner folding summer screen door with bubble wrap (on the outside so it can't be seen) to use as a double door to keep the cold side out side... which for some reason makes me think of 'The Song of Hiawatha' by Longfellow...
So he killed the Mudjokivis Of the skin he made him mittens, Made them with the fur side inside, Made them with the skin side outside. He, to get the warm side inside, Put the inside skin side outside; He to get the cold side outside Put the warm side fur side inside. That's why he put the fur side inside, Why he put the skin side outside, Why he turned them inside outside. I don't think I'm quoting this correctly... but it's nice to sit down again after 4 minutes of hard work. Stitchawl |

Rght now I'm enjoying the fact that this morning my roommate left for family Thanksgiving in Chicago, and I have the house to myself until either Saturday or Sunday. Big plans include laundry and many, many hours of playing Fallout: New Vegas with the speakers turned up. No worries about the noise when I'm taking out bad guys with my rifle at 11pm.
So I guess that was both what I'm doing right now, and what I'm doing for the rest of the week.

Have you tried Borderlands 2 yet? I'm waiting with bated breath for the second DLC in the game to be released today (6pm, cross fingers). Can't recommend the game highly enough. |

Contemplating if I'll continue with Arthur C. Clarke's Rama series. I've read the first two, I loved the first, but thought the second one was between "meh" and "okay". I've read the reviews of the last two and those aren't that good. Now I'm wondering if they'll be worth my time.

Did you ship it all here, instead? We had fog so thick you could cut it with a butter knife this morning!

Nobody seem to care what I'm doing right now so I won't say.

Well, I'll certainly listen. If it's something more exciting than *I'm* doing, I'll even make a comment!

You could just tell us something about where you live (doesn't have to include the "where" -- maybe just the country you're in, or something). We love to travel vicariously by finding out what your country is like!

Not good. I hope they pass.
Pear cider in my glass. Kind of boring. My brother is here for the weekend. He is in the middle of a divorce so not so much fun.
