There is no "South" Texan .... it's East and West only. West ... it's a "twang" and East it's a "drawl."

Bet you didn't know that about Texas, did you?? Betcha didn't!!

The thing that always shocks me about Texas is how tiny the freaking counties are. I swear, sometimes it seems like you pass through a county about every five minutes when you are driving.

There is an entire "South Texas Dictionary."

why don't you plan it for the autumn, when it's cooler ? that gives you plenty of time to plan, as well.

Planning a month or so is a bit much, unless you're planning an out of state trip. I think local (austin, SA, Dallas) trip could be thrown together in a month/6 weeks to meet at a local bar or something.
