Question HELP!!!! Sony E-Books Library issue

I've been trying to open my Sony E-Books Library (which worked about a month ago) prior to going on vacation - but I'm now getting the following error message:

I'm using Vista Business and I had no problems previously - I have tried deleting the e-books library version and downloading the latest although the error message reads application version 2.0.0.0 I had downloaded 2.0.01 - alas I get the same error message...

Any ideas would be appreciated...

Thanks
Nessie...

Also add it to the DEP exclusion list.

Perhaps your program has crashed and written faulty database information. Reinstall it and try again.

I can confirm the issue with DEP after my Vista Business laptop crashed I could no longer start the Connect reader software. It had never been in the DEP exclusion list but adding it to the list of excluded programs allowed me to restart it. I was actually convinced it was a file or registry key that had been corrupted and tried in vain to re-install, but then came across this thread. Excellent tip. Phew.
