The first video looks like there is a second display technology over the underlaying eink display... as you see the eink doing normal 1 second refreshes...

If you look close you'll see that the video area flashed as well. I believe the screen did that just to minimize ghosting. (same as on the current displays)


PS I actually saw these videos a few days ago, though didn't think to share them.

Are you sure this isn't an LED display over the eink display? As it is in color too!
