Classic satire from Thackeray, in which he describes all the different types of "snobs" to be found in 19th century society. It was this work which led to the wide-spread use of the word "snob" in the English language.

A very funny book - well worth reading.

Thank you. I read some quotes from this many years ago but never found it when I looked for it (very limited resources at the time and a rather small library where I lived then.) When I had funds I had "other" things to do with the funds. If my memory is correct it is, as you said, very funny.
