Firbank, Ronald: Sorrow in Sunlight, v.1, 14 April 2008.
‘Sorrow in Sunlight’ was Firbank’s preferred title. In the USA it was released as ‘Prancing Nigger’. Set in a fictional West Indian republic (a mixture of Cuba and Haiti) this is the story of a socially ambitious family. Firbank has the ability to make snobbery an art form. This work is in the Canadian public domain OR the copyright holder has given specific permission for distribution. It may still be under copyright in some countries.
