BookDesigner and Vista

Hi, I am trying to install bookdesigner on vista, and followed the instructions outlined in the wiki, to the letter. However, upon launching the application, I get the error that MSSTDFMT.dll must be registered. This file exists, and I went and un and re-registered it manually, and it did nothing to help.

Any ideas?

How did you install Book Designer in the first place? Did you download the 4.0 install and then the 07/30/2008 update from this forum?

You have to also install DHTML from Microsoft because it's not a part of Vista. And when you register/unregister a DLL or OCX, you need to do it with administrator access.

Yes, installed DHTML update, then base of bookdesigner, then update.

Then used the wiki instructions for the dll registration, which was successful.

I fixed it, had to manually unregister (forgot the /u tag before) each dll or .ocx it errored out on, and re-register (like 6 files).

seems to work now.

*edit*

and now libprs500 does not function.. heh

Do graphics in Book Designer work for you?
