I can't speak for the ipad, but not from them the Fire as far as I know... perhaps download to Kindle4PC, then to Calibre with the help of Apprentice Alf?

Download them on kindle4pc, you can find the files in your Documents folder. Then google for DeDRM. It is a calibre plugin, and also a native application on Windows.
