actually something does happen

you just can't see it.

needs rebuilding with the 2007q3 TC. (or at the very least the kindle 5 and later optimisations need to be ripped out of the build flags and a TC be used that spits out relevant code...)

I'm thinking build two separate versions, and then support them both - wrong way. On the other hand, add configuration file will not be too difficult.

Yeah. there will be two binaries anyways. FOR THE EXPLORER.
There HAS to be.

to target the FB and X versions of the libs...

I simply use a launcher script and scrape the uname -a, then from that determine which one to run.

This is the same for LEAFPAD and KTERM. identical.

I already have several gtk projects that are multiplatform (they just havent seen the light of day yet) that use this approach....

Of course you would need a copy of the k3 libs (much like your current /home/you/DEV/libs) and to point your build.sh at that.

I will send you them.

No, I haven't any knowledge in this area. geekmaster nailed it down. Gestures are passed to X applications as "mouse" button presses. baf also posted an explanation.
