What's New Out There In The World of Tablets?
I currently have a Motorola Xoom first generation. I'm interested in getting a new tablet. So what's new out there in the world of Android Tablets 10'?

The nearest shops to me really don't seem to have a lot to offer bar the Samsung one.

Google Nexus 10 has the most impressive specs for now.
And a realistic chance for quick updates, being directly from Google.
For Motorola Xooms 1 and 2 for example it took forever to get the updates...

The Prestigio tablets look pretty good; especially the 8 inch one. Unfortunately they are not available in the US.

This. Right now, the N10 is the best tablet you can get, it is more powerful and cheaper than most, if not all, of the similarly spec'ed competitors (both Android and ios).

My only problem with the Google nexus tablets is the lack of storage expansion. Ok for a phone, I don't watch a lot of video on a phone but I could see loading up a bunch of movies for a trip and wanting more space.

Kind of depends on what your priorities are.

Check out "Nexus Media Importer" ($3 on Google Play). You'll also need an OTG cable and a sdcard card reader. This turns your USB port into a read-only host port so you can watch movies among other things.

It works well on my Nexus 7 so I'm just guessing about the Nexus 10. But I can't think of any reason Google would do anything to foil it.

You can also use thumb drives with the OTG cable w/media importer.
