Question about the PW magnet cover

I wondered if the border might distract me before I got it, but after getting mine I never thought about it after that. I never notice it when I'm reading

Okay, I feel better now. I'm a worrywort about things like this, and I know that I should knock it off because otherwise it WILL end up bothering me just because I'm focused on it lol.

I'm very interested to find out just what it looks like because there are a lot of reviewers out there saying that the Persimmon looks more red in person than it does on Amazon. That won't bother me at all, but I'm curious.

Cases are even more variable based on user preference than are Kindles. I order a PW delivered to my sister's home and after she received it she got one. I ordered the Kindle cover and my sister put her PW in the Marware cover she had for her Kindle Basic. She brought me my PW about ten days ago.

I think the Kindle cover is fantastic and my sister doesn't like it at all. Her cover is padded nylon and she feels it provides better protection and there is a strap on the back of her cover,, when she's reading, that her hand slips into and she feels it's more secure. She might be right.

I, on the other hand, like the compact cover from Kindle. When I go out the Kindle always goes with me and the Kindle cover slips easily into a pocket on my daypack. I really like the way I open it and it comes on to the page I'm reading and when I close the cover it goes immediately to sleep. It just works for me.

That's why I ordered it, since I really wanted a red one, but it ended up looking like pale brick. I posted a picture somewhere but can't find it anywhere.

I have heard the color is more coral than orange. On kindleboards there's been some good pictures of the persimmon cover where you can see the border.

It just looks grey to me. Or are you talking about the bit around the edge of the Kindle itself? I prefer plain black, so it doesn't stand out.

Amazon had given me a $30 promotional certificate for all of my PW hassles, so that's why I decided to get the case. I was going to go for black, but then it was a toss-up between black and purple. But I'm sick of black and since amethyst is my birthstone I seem to have a lot of purple things around the house. So, I have decided that I need a burst of non-purple color in my life.
