Error Message on Calibre

Heey, I have a Kobo Glo and i've been using Calibre for a little over a month now it's been working fine up until a couple days ago when I wanted to add a new book in. When I plug in my device it says "Error Message: Error communicating with device" It happened so suddenly the weird thing is that i can still send books to my device im only posting here cause it's annoying when after i send the books all my books that i've been reading won't be bookmarked anymore and I have to find the page as well as it won't show under recent reads i have to search through my whole library for the new book. Pleaase help!

Kovid pointed to the list of suggestions for the Kobo devices, but we really need more information.

When the error message was displayed, there was a button on the message box to copy the full error to the clipboard. Press that and post the contents. That will give me a clue as to what is going on.

But, this shouldn't affect the state of the books already on the device. If you are losing the reading status of books after sending new books to the device, something else is wrong. It probably means the database on the device is corrupt and needs to be reset. But, I need the full error message to get a better idea.
