What's most important when choosing an eReader?

I'm curious what everyone thinks is most important, or unimportant when choosing an eReader. From supporting ecosystem (what about it?) to screen refresh rates and resolution.

Biomechanics. But what is important will differ from person to person. Contrast might be important for those with sight issues, and page turning method, size and weight for those with arthritis, for example.

Wether or not your new reader can read your existing library of eBooks.

What format the ereader supports, whether you want to use it for PDF's, and the price of the device are several things that one should definitely consider when choosing an ereader.
