PW - Margins

Is there a way to change the default margins in pw without hacking? Like kindle 4 nt?

If you press the Aa button, there are three margin choices given on the popup page. I don't know whether you need something different from those options.

Yes I know it but in kindle 4 nt I can modify margins changing a value in the file reader.pref to make them smaller.

you can't modify the margin more than it is allowed in the stock paperwhite. You could after you jailbreak it.

My PW is allready j-breaked. How can I alter margins?

I find this huge margins sensless and want to alter it's values.

If you apply the JBPatch hack, it gives you the option to adjust margins (as well as other things)....currently only works on firmware 5.3.1 --- JBPatch has its own thread in the Kindle Developer's Corner sub-forum.

When i wrote this question, I had firmware 5.3.3 on my reader and it refused to be downgraded to 5.3.1. That was the reason for my question.

Meanwhile I found a solution for the downgrade glitch and concerning margings I'm happy now.
