Weird problem with Find & Replace

Hello all:

I'm new here and I hope that someone could help me. Until yesterday, I was justifying a bunch of epubs with very little problem:

In the find textbox I would post:

<br />
<br />

And in the replace textbox:

</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">

with the DotAll and Minimal Match options checked

It worked nicely, but it doesn't work anymore. I have no idea why it stopped working. Sigil always says:

No matches found

I have tried in both Normal mode and in Regex mode with no luck.

Any suggestions? TIA

It may be old age catching up , but I too, have seen small behavior changes in the PCRE search.

I use:

(?sm)<br />\s+<br />

and forget about those 2 tick boxes
