Interest in an e-ink tablet?

I currently have a rooted Nook Simple Touch which I use for books, Instapaper and RSS reading. It's a reasonable device but is very slow, especially if I need to open a web browser (I currently use Opera Mobile).

What I would really like is an Android e-ink tablet with a decent processor, memory, Android 4.x, control of the e-ink panel and open access so that no rooting is required.

This might be an opportunity for a crowdfunding project. Would anyone here be interested?

I would. I also bought a Nook ST thinking that I'd root it, but then felt queasy about doing it and ended up returning it.
I would only be interested if it were front- lit, though. My Paperwhite ruined me forever.

Once the Android firmware is ready for the Onyx Boox readers we'll basically have an eInk Android tablet(s), although I don't know if they're using a 4.x version or not.

I'd be very interested in one. Not just for the novelty, but for the long battery life and use of the reading apps.
