Kindle .mobi made from images question
If I did this book in an epub and viewed on an IPad I can easily magnify the pages with a pinch. Any help here as the alternative is to do the book with flowing text and I will not be able to use the background. ( think of a magazine page with a zoom feature) is this possible. any help? |

Those "templates" that are popping up everywhere are, more or less, useless because this problem is rife--the font is simply too small. Be advised, if you publish the book without RM, and if Amazon receives any complaints, they will ask you to take it down and fix it. The question is the "if;" if they don't get any complaints, you won't have an issue. HTH, Hitch

Problem with Region magnification on fixed layout for Kindle Fire
I am trying to produce a fixed layout ebook for kindle fire with regional magnification. I am using the following coding found in the Amazon guidelines:
<a class="app-amzn-magnify" data-app-amzn-magnify='{"targetId":"fs1-txt2-magTarget", "sourceId":"fs1-2-txt", "ordinal":1}'> <div id="fs1-2-txt"> etc etc.. But I keep on getting the following errors when I validate the epub: there is no attribute "data-app-amzn-magnify" and document type does not allow element "div" here; missing one of... With just one paragraph of text formatted in this way, the conversion to mobi works and so does the magnification on my Kindle Fire. But if another page of three regions is set for magnification, the conversion to mobi fails. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone with any experience could help me with this. |
